Siemens: Investing in Western Balkans and Serbia Pays Off

Investing in the Western Balkans, and Serbia in particular, pays off, said Siemens Mobility CEO Arnulf Wolfram, who attended a confer-ence organized by the Financial Times and the Western Balkans Chamber Investment Forum in London yesterday.

“Following the political changes in the 90s, we have revived our pres-ence in the region, primarily in Serbia, where we have around 3,000 employees,” Wolfram explained. He underlined that Siemens’s expe-riences in Serbia were positive and he would definitely recommend the region as an invest-ment destination. When asked if the big com-pany would continue to invest in the region and Serbia, Wolfram said everything depended on economic growth and all investments had to be economically justified.
